Drinking own urine!!!

Is this common? I caught Fiver doing it last night  Thanks

I have had a few Buns do it. Generally its a behavioural thing but if the wee is very dilute, more in quantity than normal or if Bun is drinking a lot and/or losing weight a Vet check would be a good idea. The first symptom a couple of my 'Renal Rabbits' exhibited was to drink their wee. But as I said, its usually a behavioural issue and not a sign of ilness.

Janex :)

Well, he was abit strange yesterday. He was in his run all day with fresh water and hay, and then during the day I gave him some cucumber. When I brought him in in the evening, I noticed he hadn't done anything (wee or poo) in his run. He went straight to the newspaper in the living room where he always wees, and did a huge wee. He then began to drink it!!! He was lively as usual. He isn't a big bunny, but quite svelte. Should I be worried??

I doubt you need to be worried. Just keep a check on his weight, water consumption and density of his wee.
Wee checks makes a change from poo checks I guess.......
