Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Rabbit care diagrams

Hi, I am new to rabbits and looking forward to getting my first in May! I started a photo folder of 'rabbit info' and was wondering if anyone had some helpful rabbit care diagrams. Here is what the folder consists of so far to give you an idea of what I mean:

Hi welcome to the forum

I'm Ashleigh and I have a beautiful double maned Lionhead bunny (Snow Cloud).

I'm not sure about the diagram thing you have there but rabbits need a nice big space to run, they need a healthy diet (you don't need to feed them much and they will eat hay on top of whatever you give them so only small amounts of food daily is neccersary). Rabbits need to be handled, they need annual vaccinations and you need to keep them clean to prevent Fly Strike.

Rabbits are lovely pets to have as long as they are looked after properly.

I hope you find all the advice on the forum helpful and enjoy posting on here. I look forward to seeing photo's. Have you thought of any names yet? :3
