Plant identification

Any idea what this is and if it is not safe for my rabbits, is it ok cut up & put in compost bin? It is tall.

I'm normally pretty good with wild plants but that one has stumped me..will try to find my wild flower book.

does it smell when you rub it?

I think its Mugwort (Artemesia vulgaris) but it could just be Wormwood (Artemesia absinthium)

Pretty certain M<ugwort

Associeted with warding off evil spirits apparently!

I dont think its toxic but its not on my 'wild feed' list that I have for myself - so I wouldnt.

I can't find mine either at the moment, but I looked on this great site http://wildflowerfinder.org.uk/ and couldn't see mugwort or wormwood listed on there ..it cetainly looks like and artemisia of somesort due to it's silvery leaves.

Yes, have just rubbed it and my fingers had a herby sort of smell but, unlike herbs, the smell disappeared very quickly.

I'm going to compost it! The herby smell is sage and have found an artemisia that smells of sage!
