Buns more interested in hay than running around!

I've let my 2 out yesterday and today and they've had a mad 2 minutes running laps around the sofa (they ran in opposite directions and crashed into each other earlier in the week!) and then gone back into their home to sit eating hay for hours. I know it's good they want to eat their hay, but I can't help but feel they're not getting enough exercise! If I get down on the floor they'll come and sniff me and clamber over me for a bit, but then they'll go back to their hay or go and sit in a corner together. They don't really get their toys at the moment so I can't even tempt them with playing with them. I've only had them since last Sunday so I'm not sure if this is normal, if they're bored or just still getting use to their routine / space.
