Troocs'n'Auds
Young Bun
Sammy was our first bunny. We had tried to resist her for months in the pet-shop where we bought supplies for our gerbils, and then one day my husband rang me at work and told me he couldn't resist any more, and was bringing her home. She was a gentle giant, we never could work out what breed she was. She would lick us and snuggle into us, and seemed to actively want our company. One day she got frightened at a loud noise and ran into a doorframe, breaking her neck. I miss her each and every day.
Kate was bonded with one of our current bunnies, Petruchio. We rescued her from the same place as Troocs; she was a breeding bunny that couldn't get pregnant, and he was a show bunny who bit the judges. Just before Christmas we woke up to find her dead in her cage. No warning, she had been her usual quiet but happy self the night before. The vet couldn't explain it, but suggested that we had been misled with regards to her age, and that she might actually have been a lot older than we had thought. Taken from us far too soon.
