I took Sue to the vet this morning as I was going with my new bun Furby. I wanted to get her weighed.
For those of you who haven't read my earlier thread, Sue has calcification of the kidneys and only half a kidney is working and she lost loads and loads of weight.
I have been giving her high moisture, low calcium foods and the good news is that she hasn't lost any more weight but has actually put some on.,.
I was so pleased I did a little dance in the surgery
My vet and vet nurse said she seems very bright and agreed she isn't suffering at all. I've put her and Peggy out to free range in the garden - they love that but catching them is a nightmare!
I am realistic - I know Sue isn't going to be around forever - but I am so happy that she hasn't deteriorated but has actually improved. I was terrified she would have lost weight as my vet had intimated that if she did, I needed to think of PTS.
Just wanted to share my good news
