Too many pellets!

Hello,

In our house everyone would fill up Denzels food bowl when it was empty and he was eating about 2 cups of pellets every 24 hours. I only recently discovered that this is way too much and want to cut him down.

How should I go about this and what is a good way to feed him?

I have started giving him 1/4 of a cup in the morning with leafy greens and lots of hay and fresh water.

Then at night before bed another 1/4 cup of pellets with some veggies and more hay and fresh water.

Does this seem like a more balanced rabbit diet?

Hay and water should be unlimited and accessible all the time.
I would reduce the pellets right down - make sure he is eating sufficient hay / grass instead of pellets. Mine get a handful each on an evening. Some people don't feed pellets at all.
Greens are fine - just introduce new varieties gradually.
