Small bite

Something interesting happened to me today. I was playing games on the phone in the morning, Cookie came up to me and started looking at me. I kept playing, then he gave me a little bite. He gave me a small bite because I wasn't paying attention to him. :shock: Actually, it can't be called a bite, it didn't hurt. It wasn't a bite, it was more like a nip that didn't hurt, I don't know what it means in English.
It shocked me that he did this as I wasn't interested in Cookie for a few minutes. My mom has been staying with us for over a week, Cookie became more fond of me while my mom was here. Cookie sticks to me all the time, with me 24/7. Cookie won't let me breathe.

I get nipped occasionally when Rodney wants something but of course he can't tell me what. Usually some attention or to play.

He tends to nip Blossom when he wants to play tag. Cookie depends on you for his rabbit socialising so maybe he wants to play or is feeling left out with your Mum visiting?

Maybe but he got used to my mom, he's not afraid of her.

Oh yes, it looks like this. Cookie is jealous of my mom so we sit in different seats with mom He gave me a little nipped because I didn't play with Cookie for 1-2 minutes and didn't look at him. My mom can't get near me anymore, Cookie sits next to me 24/7. I noticed that Cookie was very jealous, I was surprised :lol:

OMG now I was chatting with my mom, Cookie suddenly jumped on my lap and made little nipping. :shock: Cookie has been very mischief since mom came, she's bursting with energy and doing some mischief. Why?

I think CarelessSquid is very likely right in that Cookie depends on you for socialising and maybe wants to play or wants your attention, and with your mum there he might be feeling left out. You're basically the only person he socialises with, so if you're busy with someone else he needs to find a way to get your attention, which is where the nipping and the mischief comes in. Be careful not to encourage it or he'll learn that nipping works and he'll keep doing it. That doesn't mean you should ignore him, though, as he clearly wants something and he has nobody else but you to give it to him. The best way to deal with this would be to get him a bunny friend as he'll always have someone to play and cuddle with if you're busy and he won't be so dependable on you.
