Victor has to go to another Vet for an ultrasound
Did they say why? what they are looking for? Hope he's doing ok xx
Well C says that she is still not convinced its Uroliths :?
She said that an U/S rather than Xray would have more chance of showing up abnormalities if they are in their very early stages. But as C does not have U/S equipment Victor has to go elsewhere to get it done.
Also, C said that *if* uroliths were found and surgery was needed she would not feel OK about 'digging around in his kidneys with U/S availability during the op'
So I believe she may either ask the other Vet if she is able to operate (should it be necessary) or if not it'd be a referal which I doubt I can afford
I have to pay for 36 Myxi vaccs this week and a referal is not going to cost less than £400, money I just dont have
I feel sick with worry now
I take it you mean without? I guess even if its not uroliths/nephroliths, some form of diagnostic imaging wil hopefully give more information. Would a nephrectomy not be easier and cheaper, if the problem is isolated to one kidney? may not then need a referral?
