OK folks. I've noticed that when we write in to protest about these things we get very condescending replies. I summerize the message as, "We are the pet shop who know about animals, you're just Jo Public, & don't know what you're talking about". Of course it's all about high profits.
I think we need authorative back up for our protest, to get any action.
I've looked at the RSPCA site for rabbits & the animal welfare act on that site.
http://www.rspca.org.uk/allaboutanimals/pets/rabbits. There's some good info in there. The accommodations mentioned on this thread probably breach the Animal Welfare Act. (Rabbits can't "exhibit their natural behaviour" in them.)
What do people think about us getting together, getting some good authorative links together, & trying writing again with back up?
