I was told by the farmer that cuts the hay in my pony's field to expect hay to go up to about £10 a bale over winter because it is in such short supply due to the poor harvest because of the weather this summer. So if you can get a bale cheap i suggest you stock up!! My buns also love readigrass or just grass which i give them over winter because the dont get out onto the grass much. Its horse feed so best place to get it is a farm shop or horse supplier, costs about £8 for an enormous bag. Not looking forward to the winter as the horses are on the hay already!!
