Purring

What does "teeth purring" sound like? Whilst i was bonding my rabbits, my french lop flopped down and started making a sound like he was eating hay. Ive heard him do it a few times, once whilst i was stroking his nose (his favourite thing) but then ive also heard grinding teeth was a sign of pain :?

I am not an expert, but my bun tooth-purrs when I stroke him, and it sounds like if YOU chatter your teeth quickly together. As you say - like they're eating hay.
