Pellet free diet - how much veg????

Hello All,

I’m putting my rabbits on a pellet free diet. I’ve had a look at several website trying to find out how my veg I should free from the bunny approved list and there are a few different answers. I’m currently feeding 2 cups per rabbit a day and a tonne of hay with dried herbs/leaves. The rabbits at 1.8 kg and 2.2 kg.

Can anyone advise me of the correct amounts?

I don't tink there is a 'right' answer. Most sites quote around 80% min hay / grass in the diet. It also depends on what you are feeding as veg. Mine get generous amounts of forage most days - which is basically weeds from the allotment and various fruit bush and tree prunings. That's going to be different to, say, feeding mainly cabbage family and shop-bought greens which tend to be lower in coarse fibre.
