Peanut Butter...

aww poor Peanut. I think you ought to try and find a better vet. From a couple of things you have said in previous posts - not suggesting EC etc ... I really think this current vet doesn't know enough. Could you find out which surgery your old vet has gone to maybe?

panacur

Dont know if it helps, but friend told me that a virus can some times cause the head to tilt, which is why they panacur there buns...

Only just seen this thread,

Aww hun im really sorry peanut is ill, he looks so different, i hope he starts to put on the weight again quick and stops you worrying!

Sending loads of vibes and kisses x

maybe its possible that his spine was always like that but has been revealed by his weight loss....not saying that it isnt the problem or anything, was just considering. how long till his meds are finished? poor boy (

hes got a week left of medication.

im getting him insured today as i want to find out the cause but that will give me a bit of assurance bcus of potential costs, and as my vet has given him meds for his hocks, nothing to do with thr weightloss etc, it wouldnt count as an 'existing' problem.

plus i am taking him to A COMPLETLY different vet altogether next week :D am phong up multiple vet surgeries in my area to help find out whats wrong my boy

if ANYONE can recommend any vet savvy-specialists surgeries in Essex i would really appriciate it

I have had mixed experience with Animal Ark, they seem very good for routine stuff but not so great with diagnosing unusal things :?

Really?! Random, well so far my experience has been brilliant, but ill let you know if anything happens to me :) what was your bad experience?

Not really a bad experience, they failed to diagnose when Sweetpea had Syphilis, despite me saying "do you think it could be syphilis" As a result I was pescribed lots of pointless creams, and Gus got infected, despite them saying it definately wasn't contagious. I didn't see Rose though.

There some a few other things, just refusing to listen to me and stuff

thats like this guy at best friends, i felt that i had to say 'could it be this' and not only did they not suggest it first, he didnt agree with me and think it could be a possiblity.

on the phone 2 petplan now, ive explained that hes skinny but so far has not had any vet visits or treatment regarding this weightloss so could i still be covered.

Sarah Jane, I am so SO sorry to hear that your beloved Peanut is poorly. I hope SO much that they can find out soon what the problem is and start treatment for it. I am sending MASSES of Get Well vibes to the handsome Mr. Butter, and a big ::HUG:: to you. xxxxx

(((((((((( VIBES ))))))))))

i cant insure him  i phoned up petplan and explained about him being skinny but he hasnt had anything diagnosed etc so its not an 'existing condition'. but they said he wouldnt be covered for three months if anythign was found due to his weightloss.

should i have phoned up and not said anything about it :?

I just wanted to say I agree with a couple of earlier posts, I dont think it's spinal damage.

Peanuts 'look' is very consistant with what I have witnessed in rabbits sufffering rapid weightloss...if you can find it look at maxiscottandbuns last pictures of Sun, she has the same very obvious spinal curve. It simply becomes more prominant when the fleshy padding has melted away.

My Pippa also had this posture not long before we lost her to renal failure. I am afraid to say I am increasingly convinced that Peanut has EC :?
