  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

OMG !! Bloody dog just got hold of my bun :(

I'm just sitting waiting on the vet calling me back. At least it's the vet i know well that's on call this morning. :)

Oh I am so pleased to hear that! It sounds like he's going to be fine. :D

Would it be possible for you to attach an aviary on the front of your shed? That way he can come and go onto the grass, and you have an extra door between him and potential shepherd's dogs! Here's mine:

Morning.

Trevor has made it through the night:D . He looks bright eyed and bushy tailed this morning. He was sitting munching hay when i went in. I am so releived that he's pulled through.

That's great he's so perky this morning. Fingers crossed for further good news :)

Just seen this thread. Poor Trevor :(. What a horrible shock for him and you. But I'm very glad to hear that he made it through the night and appears to be in good spirits. Hope he gets over this episode quickly and with minimal mental and physical scars.

Only just seen this too, so pleased he has pulled through. Poor little Trevor. He's such a handsome bun

Hopefully he will continue to improve and be 100% in no time ;)

Only just seen this thread.

Trevor is a handsome boy, I hope the vet gives him thr all clear this morning. Lots of vibes.x.

What a lovely and kind face Trevor has! He's got such a keen look in his eyes. :)
Prayers going that he will be just fine. Buns can be incredibly resilient.

Trevor Update :D

After speaking to the vet this morning, he asked me to monitor Trevor for the rest of the day and if i had any concerns was to call him and take him over straight away. If he seems well then i can take him tomorrow rather than stressing him again today.

He is improving all the time
