Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Not pregnant?

Floofbunny

Young Bun
Hi,

I had a buck and doe in together.
The buck was supposed to be neutered, the women(I got him from) contacted me saying she had been lied to. Her doe was now pregnant with his kits.

But I have heard that they can still be fertile for a month after.
His bits don't look shrunk.

My doe is supposedly due in 6 days.
But I cannot tell if she looks larger, I can't weigh the difference (don't know the weight before).

She has not made a nest and hasn't got an increased appetite.
I don't feel any kits moving inside her either.

Is she even pregnant?

If its a first litter she may not even make a nest. Her appetite wont necessary increase, but about 12 hours prior to kindling she will eat much less. I would carry on assuming that she is pregnant, provide lots of hay for her to make a nest with, rmove the Buck from her as if she Kindles and he is in with her he will impregnate her again.

If he was neutered then he could remain fertile for 6-8 weeks post surgery.

For how long have they been together? You can't tell for sure if she's pregnant for 4-5 weeks after separating them, he could have waited for the last day.

All those signs if a doe is pregnant or not, well, they are hints, but not conclusive. Losing some appetit can be a sign that she'll kindle in the next 1-2 days, but not all does do that. Nest building can happen at any time, although when they start pulling fur it's pretty likely that it can't be long anymore. Palpating - also not conclusive, at least you can't really tell that she's not pregnant.
i got some surprises over the years...

Act on the assumption that she's pregnant, offer lots of hay, keep an eye on her and provide a stress free environment - and wait.

Actually, I don't really know what a neutered buck looks like, is there enough of his bits left to make it difficult to tell?

He mates with her three times,
That was before we knew he maybe wasn't neutered.

Also yeah, they look all there.
But online it said, it takes ages for it to go completely or something
