My rabbit died of RHD- potentially triggering* Beyond distraught

Little update; Lola is still ok. I'm hoping her vaccination protection will kick in before any infection is triggered. 2 weeks and she will have the antibodies she needs to be safe. Nerve racking wait.:|

I'm so pleased she is still doing good. every days a win but I know it'll be impossible to relax properly just yet

Glad she’s doing OK at the moment. If it was the Nobivac Myxo RHD Plus that was given a full immune response takes 3 weeks not 2

Had Filavac been given a full immune response would have taken 7 days and covers both RHD1 and RHD 2,but the Nobivac Myxo RHD Plus would then need to be given after a minimum of 2 weeks to obtain cover for Myxomatosis.

Fingers crossed all will remain well.

It was Nobivac she was given but it has already been a week since. Thanks very much for the links.
I have never watched a rabbit so closely. Poor girl has no privacy:roll:

Three weeks post vaccination and Lola is fine. She should have her antibodies now. So relieved! I'm amazed she didn't contract it because she was constantly washing his face and lying next to him. We are very, very lucky

I am so relieved for you. If she had had previous vaccines she will have retained a bit of immunity from them. Also, on rare occasions an individual Rabbit who is exposed to the virus will be asymptomatic and survive.
