Is this sore hocks? Update Piccies

Yep, the bald spot is still there on Lotties hocks too, but its just like normal skin. I would apply the sudocrem twice a day for a few days and see how it goes - i noticed an improvement with Lotties after 2 odd days, the redness fades.

Hopefully they will go down and not need a vets visit just yet :) Nose rubs for little Snowdrop  xXx

Thank you. I am feeling extremly stressed at the minute and just cant cope with numerous vets visits at the minute so im praying its going to clear up.

I also cant think of a way around the flooring situation as she eats towels, wees on fleeces, eats foam and I obviously cant use hay or grass inside!

Aww bless ya. Just make sure her claws are short enough to relief the hocks, theres not much else you can do with her being a house bun. What about some cotton sheets, or an old duvet? :) I guess she will wee on them too though :( Our Lola is the same, she feels the need to piddle on any soft furnishings.

I would just try the sudocrem for a few days and hope for the best. As SJ said, sometimes its not because of them being kept incorrectly. I had 2 mini rexes foster buns staying here and i made sure they always had thick hay in their hutch but they still managed to get slight sore hocks :(

xXx

Yeh she wees on anything soft- she is a nightmare! I have covered her flooring in fleece blankets but she just keeps digging in them and moving them out of the way.

Her nails are quite short anyway but I will take a bit more off them tonight.

Put her a bit of sudocrem on if you have any :) Lottie gets tiny red patches on her hocks as theyre on concrete, i should think its because Snowdrop is on carpet - carpet isnt good for sore hocks. Sudocrem will help, it will reduce the redness. I dont think the vets will be able to do anything unless theyre infected :?

Hope everything will be ok :) xXx

My rabbits hocks are similar to this. I just added a softer and solid base to his rabbit hutch but he also has full time access to the carpet as an extension to his hutch. Is this O.K? I also don't know if I need to see a vet because there is a lot of fur covering his paws/hocks.

Thanks!

I would start a new thread over in 'Health'. This thread is about 6 years old :)
