  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

As title really.

My hamster is on it, the syringe was cleaned with just water, rinsed well and then dried.. Then it got used to give Clementine some of her meds hours later.

Not sure whether to freak out or not, before I murder my boyfriend [emoji849]

No need to send BF to The Tower, Intrafungal is not toxic to Rabbits unless given in a massive OD. All will be fine and BF will live to see another day !!

Oh thank christ!

On the bottle it's spelt Intrafungol - same thing probably? Maybe a spelling error?

I mean the most it would have had in it would be traces I assume max.. But still [emoji849] I've binned that one now.

You think hamsters have anything toxic they can pass to rabbits? I mean it was in the roborovski hams mouth [emoji849]

It was washed but only with water [emoji37] I'm probably being ott I'm a bit of a clean freak and I hate using syringes even a few times [emoji37]

It was used for loxicom so I'd have drawn it up and then pushed some back into the bottle.. Should I get new loxicom do you think? [emoji51]

Personally I would not worry but in future I'd use a new sterile syringe if you are actually dipping it into the bottle of Loxicom. You could always give the Vet a call to check, just to get a professional opinion' and hopefully put your mind at ease.

Yea so I've said about this before but the vet nurses say rinsed and dried they're fine to use a few times :( I've wondered about this though!
