In Remembrance: Su (Cannonwoman)

Su, I only knew you as Cannonwoman here and not in person. Your posts were always so funny, heartfelt and spirited that it gave you such a big character here. Mark and your Su's family are in my thoughts today as they have been since I read the sad news.
I dont really know what else to say. It seems so wrong that this has happened but at the same time you have given such inspiration Su, to live life to the full every day and be as good a person as possible as you never know what's round the corner.
You'll be basking in the sun over Rainbow bridge now and together with you're beloved animals again. Please, I hope you dont mind, giving my Wellie a noserub if you see him there. :)
Sleep tight Su x x x

FOOTPRINTS....

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed
he was walking along the beach with the LORD.

Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene he noticed two sets of
footprints in the sand: one belonging
to him, and the other to the LORD.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him,
he looked back at the footprints in the sand.

He noticed that many times along the path of
his life there was only one set of footprints.

He also noticed that it happened at the very
lowest and saddest times in his life.

This really bothered him and he
questioned the LORD about it:

"LORD, you said that once I decided to follow
you, you'd walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most
troublesome times in my life,
there is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why when
I needed you most you would leave me."

The LORD replied:
"My son, my precious child,
I love you and I would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering,
when you see only one set of footprints,
it was then that I carried you."

Rest peacefully Su.
Gone on the earth but always in our hearts.

I was listening to my Crowded House CD this afternoon and these lyrics got me thinking about Su:
s On
(Neil Finn)

Pretty soon you'll be able to remember her
Lying in the garden singing
Right where she'll always be
The door is always open

This is the place that I loved her
And these are the friends that she had
Long may the mountain ring
To the sound of her laughter
And she goes on and on

In her soft wind I will whisper
In her warm sun I will glisten
'Till we see her once again
In a world without end

We owe it all to Frank Sinatra
The song was playing a she walked into the room
After the long weekend
They were a lifetime together

Appearing in the eyes of children
In the clear blue mountain view
The colouring in the sky
And painting ladders to heaven
And she goes on

In her soft wind I will whisper
In her warm sun I will glisten
'Till we see her once again
In a world without end

In her soft wind I will whisper
In her warm sun I will glisten
And I always will remember
In a world without end
She goes on
She goes on
She goes on

God bles my friend Sue, your funeral service was beautiful, and I'm sure you were watching over us as we celebrated your life and morned the loss we feel now you are not here. The warm sun shon on us and the blossom on the trees was lovely, seeing these things made me think of you and always will, you were warm like the sun and your personality lovely like the blossom on the trees. I will never forget you and I promise to help Mark when ever he needs anything.

Sleep tight Su.. free from the pain and sadness of this world and happy and carefree in the place that you are now in.

Thinking of Mark and all those whose lives had been touched by Su's kindness and love.

Mark, this was posted on here by Su a couple of years ago. The thread title is:

Please Wish the Best Hubby Ever a Happy Birthday!

'Please can you all join me in wishing my hubby Mark a Huge Happy Birthday.
The past year has been very hard for us both, with lots of up and downs but Mark has always remained by myside and been there to wipe away my tears and whatever we`ve had to face we`ve got through together.
Mark is my world and i`m planning a special day for him and i`m sure he`d be touched if you could all join me in a toast to the best hubby ever.
Su. xx

That love will never EVER leave you
