Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Guncelleme: nebulising Nebulizer use and rabbit

Hello to everyone,
I took Cookie to the vet today. The vet said that Cookie did not have a respiratory infection, he was allergic and the symptoms increased. She gave Cookie Melox (anti-inflammatory pain reliever) and nebulizer medicines. In the past, Jane gave me a link for nebulizer use in rabbits, but I can't find it. Can you help with nebulizer use in rabbits?

Hi KCG. We had to nebulize our Bunny Blue recently. I thought I would make a video about the experience and how we did it in the end.

Thank you so much. Today is Cookie's 3rd day in nebulising. We have the same situation at the end of this video, he immediately jumps out and grabs his treatment. But thanks again for the video, I checked if I'm missing or doing something wrong:)

Cookie has been using nebulising for 3 days. He also takes his meds. His sneezing has lessened but his growl seems to have increased, his voice increased as if he had phlegm (this sound did not exist before nebulising), started to snore. Is this normal due to nebulising?

It can happen, yes. Is he sneezing out any mucous ? What meds is he now taking ?

There seems to be no mucus, but he has a snoring sound when sneezing and snores when sleeping. He only takes melox orally. The other 2 meds are given by nebulising. i asked the vet, she told me to stop the nebulising and watch him. :|
