I've just noticed that Gemma has a bald patch where her head meets her body. It's not completely bald but is very thin. It isn't red or infected at all and she is eating/drinking/pooping normally and chasing George around (they both seem very frisky at the moment).
Maybe she is moulting unevenly but it does look very weird. My own vet is on holiday until 2 October and the locum is allergic to bunnies. I'd take Gemma if she needed it but she seems perfectly OK - just looks a bit odd. I do have some mite treatment left over from Furby but can't see any mites. There is no dandruffy stuff at all.
Would I be a very bad Bunny Mummy if I left it to see what happens? Or should I take her to the vet?
One of my cats goes like this periodically and the vet said she over-grooms. The fur grows back and she is fine for a few months and then does it again. Maybe George is over-grooming Gemma?
