Forum Tip for common posters

A word of warning for all you volume posters.

This form SW will subscribe you to the posts that you reply to. If you have the settings in USER CP Edit Options Default Thread Subscription Mode set to instant email notification, your e-mail will get hammered with notifications for all new posts for all the threads.

I highly recommend that you set it to NO notifications or daily

Best thing to do is to set it to NO notifications and you can select to be notified in each reply you make in the additional options box below the reply box (while replying)

I've set this to default to no. So if you do want to subscribe to a forum or thread you'll have to specifically pick that option.

If you want to subscribe to a topic set the 'Thread Subscription' option when you make a post or go to the topic and pick 'subscribe to thread' from the 'tread tools' button.

Subscribing to a thread is a bit like bookmarking it. You can see all the threads you are subscribed to in your User CP.

You can also pick to receive email notifications when a reply is made.
