Filavac shortage???

? Ask if you can book the first appointment. If it's the first one it shouldn't be crowded. I have suffered bad anxiety myself so I know it's not just as easy as that but there may be a way of making it work.

i don't actually need to go to the vaccination clinic - i was just explaining myself as you disagreed with me :) nothing wrong with that either, i just wanted to say my own reasonings. Luna only needs her RHD2 jab doing and not myxo/rhd1.

but as i said, its something people will disagree with me on and i'm fine with that. i have no issues if other people want to go to a vaccination clinic and im not going to hate on them or think they're a bad owner; but its not something I think i would do - even if luna did need her myxo/rhd1 jab.

on a side note, i managed to get a hold of a vet and they have confirmed they have plenty of stock for filavac and it will cost me £37.50 lol. i did say to her you might want to let your receptionist know the difference as she didn't seem to have a clue with what she was doing!

It was intended as reassurance, not disagreement. ... talking through the pros and cons etc. I'm not ecstatic about vaccination clinics either and would rather not the need for them but my OCD lies with having unvaccinated rabbits and so to find a way to overcome the other anxieties that are less. :) Although you don't need it this time, this seems to be an issue that keeps arising so various aspects are with mulling over.

I'm glad you've found some Filavac! That's quite a hefty price tag, but hey, at least it will be done.

I would hesitate before committing to a vaccination clinic.
I really don't want my rabbits to pick up anything they can't already get at home :)

Everyone has to manage in the way that suits them best. What's right for one person may not suit another. I know many people would heartily disagree with the way I keep my rabbits, and that's totally fine by me ;)

Interesting reading about the receptionists. I called my vets today as Nancy's eye is VERY mucky again so I wanted to book a tearduct flush and decided to combine the visit with their Filavac boosters which are due in the next couple if weeks.

I was informed about the Rabbit Clinic and that I would have to wait for 2 weeks for the next one. So I tactfully pointed out they'd been to the May clinic for their Nobivac boosters and this was different. So she checked and made me the appointment for Tuesday.

Spookily when I got home there was a letter from the vets reminding Will And Nancy their KENNEL COUGH boosters were due.

I shall point it out when I go but not going to make a fuss as my vet there is really good and also they had a new vet join just after Christmas who is an Exotics specialist.
