Fern seeing out of hours vet for swollen eye

I've just seen Fern has a swollen and weepy eye, quite bad. She seems ok on herself. I'm pretty sure it's not the same eye that she had issues with before which ended in a referral to exotic specialist and the removal of 2 teeth to drain an abscess but my thinking is it's related. The vets.close at 6pm but thankfully the receptionist was knowledgeable and asked us to go in for 6.15 and be seen put of hours rather than in the morning. I was.hoping to go with but I'm feeding our baby so partner is setting off with her and Jake now. Any vibes much appreciated!

Oh, poor Fern. I hope it's easily treatable and not as serious as her previous eye problems. That's great that the vet could see her this evening. Sending lots of vibes for her.

Thank you all. Sorry it is the other eye actually! The swelling is above/towards the back of the eye rather than towards the nose end, the vet put a needle in and got pus so looks like another abscess :( she's got pain relief and in tomorrow for GA X rays and they'll decide how to drain.

Just seen this. :( Poor Fern. I hope the vets will be able to help her. Abscesses in bunnies are horrible. :(

Many vibes on the way. xxxxx

Damn abscesses, I am sorry to hear that Fern has another one. Fingers crossed it won’t be too complex and will respond to treatment like the other one did. Sending lots of vibes x

Poor Fern, hope the vets can quickly get it under control for her. Sending lots of vibes for you Fern xxx

Thank you. They told me partner to call in the morning see when they can get her in for the GA, I called and it's tomorrow not today, she had oral meds. Partner is working so I'll get to go with them, hopefully baby will be settled and good at her first vet trip!
