Eddie- Bad News :-( U/D 4th June Post 37 :-(

I have no personal experience of using theophylline but from a quick 'google' it does appear that side effects including CNS excitement are not unusual, in dogs and humans anyway. I'm sure you've already looked into this but these are a couple of (non rabbit related) links in case anyone is interested:

I hope Eddie will still remain comfortable for as long as possible xx

Poor Eddie is not doing well
Today our Nebuliser packed up, bloody typical

So we have had to resort to steam inhalations.

Eddie is such a good boy, I so wish we could make him better

I am completely dreading today  It is already too hot here  I sleep in Eddie and Lizzie's enclosure and I had to get up to help Eddie a couple of times during the night  He is more settled now but the heat will just make things so much worse for him

We have the air-con unit set up and I just hope I can keep him comfortable. If not then we have run out of options  We cant use the Theophyllin because he reacted badly to it, so he is just on Depocillin every 48 hours, Frusemide every 12 hours, Dexafort once every 7-10 days, Bisolvon daily along with steam inhalations.
