Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.
You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Choking bunny! UPDATE!

Lovage had her rads done today and she has an enlarged heart
the choking is caused by the build up of fluid getting to the point that when she eats it causes her to choke. She has been put on lasix and I have to see how she goes over the next 4 weeks to see what happens to determine whether she will need other medication too.bunnymadhouse
