Bought another cage for Carpet & Marble

Your rabbits are actually just about ready to start breeding now.. Please take other people's advice and have them neutered.

They may be classed as READY to breed at 5 months but can actually get pregnant from 12 weeks. Even at 5 months they are wayyyyy to young to be having young of their own.

Although I appreciate that information may not be as available in Singapore as it is here, I do still find this post very frustrating.

Their original cage is very, very small, they could hardly move around in there even when tiny. I will ask again how large is the dog cage you have now bought for them. I hope it is the 48inch and that they still get plenty of time outside the cage.

Please get the rabbits neutered asap. You could get a LOT of babies in each pregnancy. In the meantime, they really should be split but I would hate to think of either of them being kept for any length of time in that tiny cage :(

The new cage dimension is 91cm.(L) 69cm (W) 58cm (H)

im training them to be house rabbits.
but i think only marble is potty trained at the moment.
carpet is still..... bluh......

I usually find that rabbits after being neutered are more reliable with their toilet training

yeah thats what i heard as well~
ill see if i can contact one of the vet i know with regards to this.
What's the process like anyways for those who have experience?

All my 6 are neutered and are really good at using litter trays now. They are also really happy living in pairs, they keep each other company during the day.

Do you have a vet local to you? best thing to do is call in and ask them if they have experience with rabbits. You'd probably be able to get your boy done now and your girl in a month or so.

What do you mean? As in to look after them after the op? They usually go to the vet in the morning, have their op, come home in the afternoon. They're usually quiet for a day or 2 and just want to snuggle down on a blanket or something then their back to their normal selves.

no, they generally have their pain relief before the come home and you just need to keep an eye on the eating, drinking and pooping, that's all! easy peasy!

Finally done setting everything up this morning.
Had to do some touch-ups with the cage and all.

I promised you guys some pictures.
So here they are;

awww nicholas..theyre so big now! but still sooo weeny:love::love:

im so happy for you that you found a good supply place finally..how are you and your finacee?

i have been a bit busy rearranging living areas for my buns too!!

oh thats a much better size. try putting some boards across the wires...and then towels like you have..they love them...keeps their feet good too.

aw no please dont...too many bad things go wrong with breeodng bunnies..first off theyre way too young second off as soon as mummy bunny gives birth..she can get pregnant again right away:shock: so its sensible to let them get fixed right away....saves them and you any heartaches.....

to fix little boy buns is easy and within a few days they get litter trained so much better andhave reocvered in a few days mainly. littel girl buns is tricky and a bit risky with the general anaesthetic but your fiancee will tell you its the same with humans! she will need care..making sure shes warm enough (not a problem you have there:lol:) comfy enough..not pulling stitches out...making sure by looking that the wound isnt oozy..lucky your fiancee is int he right job to look at that eh:lol:

but withing a week or two shell be right as rain..and slowly easier to potty train and the pee pee fromt hem both will longer stink up the place so bad..as when they arent done it only takes a few wees to make the place reek..no matter how many times you change their cage and potty..
when both buns are fixed the smell will be replced by little smells:lol:

theyre both sooo cute....

oh, im actually placing those towels on the
actual wire floor (i've mentioned that some of them still needed
to be dried -> full of urine stains and everything)

But anyways before that i thought both of 'em
should have a feel of their new cage ^_^

and of course... peeee (ugh)

marble however, loves it!
before i could put her down to her new cage, she JUMPED
out of my arm RIGHT into the new cage and start hopping
about!

It's been 1 hour now since i last placed them in the new cage.
I just took a peek and they're chasing each other now~
