Bonding Snowy and some bunny. UD pg 5- bonding over

Snowy looks adorable , do they both have a home to go to together if the boding works?

Yup. Snowy is the one who is reserved and the one who has a home to go to. Butterfly is the choice of partner for her, however, if it doesn't work with Butters then another bunny will go with Snowy.

I'm very hopeful this can work though if he can get used to her giant bunny mouf.

Me too! I'm hoping to really push it on now. I've been swapping them over for the past couple of days so it's worked in that he isn't anxious.

I now have 6 weeks to get them bonded because I have some holiday visitors coming on the 12th April and they (Snowy and hopefully Butterfly, but if not, Snowy and friend) have to be bonded and gone by then (no pressure )

Im sure something will work out with her before then. I cant wait to have them here and cuddle them and spoil them rotten. How's snowys health been?

She's good :)

Her eyes are good, her nose is dry, she is eating mor ehay and no more teeth crunching as they mashed together (not pain related).

She is a healthy weight now and on 'limited' pellets and each day she gets bursts of time for exercise and then time to recover (which is what she needs because when she gets worn out she can't physically move and I have to carry her upstairs all limp) and will be building up her muscle tone nicely. Her poos are good and nothing unshaped like before.

Generally, other than needing to build her stamina and muscle tone, she is looking good :)

Have you seen the pics in the photo forum?

YES! amazing pics :love::love::love: Im really looking forward to having her here so I can play and cuddle every day. She's going to get loads of herbs and hays and forage and she's going to be so spoilt and I really hope butterfly can come too they make such a cute couple.

Aww Butterfly is so tiny next to Snowy!! Sending tons of bonding vibes, It will be fabulous if it all works out for them!

That's brilliant, good luck with the bond:thumb:

So much love going on and sooooooooooooooooo much maladption from Snowy.

Poor Butterfly. He's going to be like the long suffering husbunny.

Think it's going to be a tough bond. Not because they don't love each other (because there is FAR too much grooming going on for that to be an issue) but because she has taken to biting everything, and he is nervous. They are doing ok, but I wish she wouldn't keep biting him.

Snowy is presenting a huge challenge. Her behaviour is not good. Butterfly loves her so, SO much and spends so much time grooming her or whatever, but when she goes over and bites him it makes him anxious. Most of the time he ignores it (which is what you need) but if she bites too hard or in the wrong place, then he reacts back. Not good.

Given how they are as a pair, if I can't bond her with him, I'm not sure there will be another bunny who will actually act better than he is doing.

I'm going to try a much bigger space next time to see if giving him space to get away from her works for them.

We're off again. Have had them together since twoish in about two thirds of the hallway. I am definitely intervening less and they are still choosing to spend time near each other too. He's mostly not humping as well. More positive.

Here are Snowy and Butterfly yesterday, in a much smaller space.

Here is Snowy and Butterfly today in a much larger space. We did about 2hrs15 today (so about 45 mins longer than yesterday) and I did intervene less which is a good thing.
