Hi everyone,
Wow, it's been about 4 years since I last logged on. I hope you and your buns are all well and that some of you remember me (I had a beautiful orange Rex called big who was killed by a police dog, if anyone remembers that??)
Anyway, I still have my big British Giant cross Teddy (now 6) and my grey belgie cross called Little (now 8).
It's her I'm writing about.
Basically I've seen the fall over while grooming - definitely once, maybe twice. The only time I definitely remember was about 2 months ago maybe. I thought it was cute. Yesterday I saw a video of a bun doing the same on a Belgie group on FB and have heard it's a symptom of something called degenerative myelopathy, which is apparently common in belgies. I don't have much info from google, it seems to mainly be about dogs. Have emailed the specialist exotics animal hospital nearby to get an appointment but can anyone offer any thoughts, experiences, advice (or maybe give me some hope??).
I literally can't stop crying when I think about it.
It's nice to be back xxxxxx
