Ash??

I am looking at all the delights on the hay expert, and came across this, it looked interesting

but has 12% ash. Ash?? Is this normal?

I've also seen some hay with red clover, but I thought red clover was unsafe? :?

I think red clover is fine. I think some bunny mummy's on here forage for it. Might be worth doing a search on it.

As for the plantain, I have no idea what 'ash' means! It's the one I give my bunnies though. There's a horse supplies place near here and that's where I get my Megazorb, hay, Science Selective pellets and Burns Dandelion and Plantain. I have contacted them in the past and they got back to me pretty quickly.
