5ft Double Hutch u/d I have something! u/d pic added

Well after a rather busy day, I've moved the rabbits to my house (they were previously at my parent's).

Here's a photo of Dolly's hutch:

They both seem to be settling in quite well, but then I keep having to pop out (into the rain) every few minutes just to check on them - I am a worrier Mummy today!

Well done :thumb: Looks great - has Dolly moved to yours permanently then or is she just on her hols?

To be honest I haven't decided! I of course love them here and to be able to see them every day, but then at my parents they have loads of space and a large grassey lawn they can explore! Whilst I have a small garden, there was a grassy area but my landlord "kindly" gravelled it before I moved in (I was cross). I currently go to my parents every weekend!

So on the plus side they will get more socialisation at my house, but at my parents they will have more space!?!?! Confused! I don't know what is best for them!

I'm going to try and look for somewhere new to live in the spring once the uncertainly over my job is sorted out!

I'd go for keeping them with you, more socialisation and buy readigrass for them to nibble on. If I put MJ and Pippa on grass before long they're digging out, so I put mesh underneath and it turned into a mudbath. So now the run's on concrete and they're fine with that. You could attach a run to the front on your new hutch for the summer and fill it with toys, even grow some grass/herbs in a tub for them.

At the moment MJ and Pippa live in a shed and rarely come out (they don't seem to want to in this weather) but I'm going to get a hutch/run for them for the summer and it'll be on concrete. I have a PWS run for the grass - maybe you could keep one of those at your parents and just take them there for weekend days out?

As you bought another hutch from them, could they not reduce the 35% cancellation charge? Seems a bit steep or do you live miles from their depot.

I can remember I ordered some chairs from Habitat (like a small settee) and I had moved into a Victorian house. I then realized too late that they would not come through the door. The cancellation charge was horrendous, so I said send them and push. The delivery company were fabulous and said if they don't go through the front door we will take the front sash windows out! In the end they got them in.

The hutch looks great though.
