  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

2 unwanted male rabbits

Does anybody know anywhere round London that would take to male rabbits that were dumped on me last night. I just havent got the room for any more. Niether are nuetered.

well someone brought them into the vets that i work in and said that they found them in the park just sitting there  so i put them in a cage out back and bought them home with me cause they couldnt stay there all weekend. There claws were so long it was disgraceful

How charitable are the Vets you work for :?
Would they neuter the Buns :?
Might be pushing it a bit to ask them to Vaccinate them too I guess :?
Then you could contact some local rescues.
Who said 'OK' to taking the Buns in.
If it was one of the Vets or the Practice Manager/Head VN then that might add weight to the neuter/ Vaccination request.
You could explain that a Rescue would have to do this and would normally ask for a donation from an owner handing over a Bun for re-homing.
And the Vets would surely want to act in the best interest of the Buns by doing the neuter/vaccinations
