Socialising the babies - picking them up etc

My foster boys have been with me a month now and are 8.5 weeks old and I was wondering what I should be doing to socialise them.

They were quite nervous at first, but are now happy to be stroked. but they really dislike being picked up.

With an adult i would usually take things very slowly and try and win their trust first, but I'm not sure if I should take a softly softly approach with the boys as I don't want them to become impossible to pick up for future owners.

The problem is they are quite hard to catch in their enclosure so I am strssing them out each time I try and catch them (I herd them into a carrier when they go into the garden.)

They are really quite scared when they are sat on my lap, but perhaps I really just need to pick them all up every day for a cuddle so they get more used to it?

Thoughts please?

I've bought a bun at this age and did the same as I did with an adult. But when I have babies that are born here, they're generally handled as soon as poss to make them tame (though they still don't love being handled)
I'd do the same as you would with adults.
