  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Luvabun!!!!

Hi Rallybunny -thanks for asking, I think he's OK. Think you may ask... I've got a chest infection and am really crock so daren't go too near the buns. So viewing from a distance, he looks fine - he's eating so thats a good sign and he doesn't seem too bothered about Brody humping him. I havne't been on the forum for a while 'cos I felt so poorly. Was trying benylin etc. as I thought it was just a cough but finally went ot the Docs yesterday and got some Anti-biotics. Will catch up on some posts now - hope Evo is OK.

Glad to hear Totti is on the mend Jill :D all that stress must be why you are ill now :( at least you get out of your new role as poo patrol warden for a few days

Not a chance Mate  I'm scrutinizing the poos ready for the check up at the Vets tomorrow - got to have my facts straight. At the mo there are definitely 2 types - the big regular ones and some medium sized ones .... now you're really glad you brought that up   He's eating and has the energy to chase Brody round the hutch now so I feel all is well.

Perhaps we should have a sticky topic of some poo sample pictures as reference for others  whats normal :D whats not :(
