Is jute safe for bunnies to chew on?

My bunnies enjoy the taste of carpet and lino far too much so I was wondering about a jute rug - would they be able to nibble on it without doing themselves any harm?

I wouldn't risk it. Can you provide them with various fruit tree twigs, willow balls/sticks etc ?

Yes, nibbling on a jute rug would be fine, so long as it's untreated :thumb: Of course try not to let them devour the whole thing, but a nibble won't harm them.

I've used seagrass mats a lot - you can often find them in Ikea or Homebase. The main pleasure they get is in the destruction, although as with cardboard, they can sometimes eat a bit of it!
