I've just reserved a new bunny from the local rspca. Waiting on a homecheck - I need to assemble my new hutch- but they have told me that the new hutch will be ok based on its size. He needs neutering which they will do and then hopefully he will be mine in a few weeks. Then the bonding begins! I hope ruby likes him and it cheers her up, she looks so sad on her own since reggie died. I keep bringing her indoors for brief periods for cuddles and so she can chase the cats ( she likes this, they too seem to like it as they always come back for more) but I know it's not enough.
What do I do if she doesn't like him!!!
He is a Dutch cross and he is quite large (I always thought Dutch rabbits were small?) he was apparently found as a stray and no one claimed him, he is microchipped but not registered which seemed odd but the lady at the rspca said that now p@h do
Microchipping some aren't registered for some reason. He is about a year old. He doesn't like being picked up but seemed quite content being held an stroked. He has a bit of blue pigmentation in his eye, the vet has checked and found nothing wrong so they think it's just a bit of harmless pigmentation.
