Ikea idea

Would this be suitable for bunnies? http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/44361109/

I was thinking the bottom shelf would make a good place to doze and I thought I would leave the top shelf off and thread sisal string through the holes and hang down toilet rolls with hay etc.

It says it is natural pine so would that be ok if the bunnies had a little nibble?

Looks fine, I've been looking for something a bit like this, but I want a bigger top on it to provide another level for mine. I think your idea is great! :thumb:

I don't think it will be sturdy if you leave the top shelf off.

You could drill holes in the top shelf and thread the string down through that?

I thought this as well, I could secure it on one side to their enclosure. I just don't really want them sleeping on the top shelf and falling off, I've got a little hut they can sleep on top of safely instead!

I own this and use it as a shoerack. It's actually pretty sturdy and I think it would be fine without the top shelf if you're worried about falls.
You could always screw the top shelf onto the base for extra support so you'd have a base, a narrow gap, then the actual base, if you get what I mean :lol:
