Rabbits in new hutch -nipping and chasing

sparkyblue87

Young Bun
We have been bonding our rabbits and it has been progressing well, this evening we have put them in a brand new hutch, they have ate hay and had a curious play! But there has been a bit of nipping and chasing, but there has has also been grooming, do we leave them to it and keep an eye on them? They have not fought as such and no humping, it seems very similar to when we started them in the bath!

I don't mind staying up all night and watching them though I may have to wrap up warm!

Any advice?

When you put rabbits in a new hutch etc they do sometimes have a little flare up as they have to re-establish their hierarchy. This is probably what it is.

Try reducing their space until they have been calm with no chasing, etc for at least 48 hours.
