Sneezing with new hay

Hi everyone,

I bought Ludo a new bag of hay. It wasn't the usual stuff I get him because the shop is having a complete revamp so it was running low on stock. Ludo loves it but it's a lot dustier than normal. I'm not allergic to hay but it gives me a sore throat when I put it in for him to the point I have to have a Strepsil to clean him out.

Anyway, since Ludo has had this hay, he's been sneezing occasionally. I've only noticed him doing it when he's been drinking after eating the hay, and when he's sitting completely in the hay. When he's not around the hay he doesn't sneeze at all. He's sneezed four times in two days.

He has no other symptoms whatsoever, his teeth are fine at the front, his eyes are clear, his nose is clean, his paws are clean, no discharge, nothing. Obviously if this persists I'll take him to the vet. Is it possible it's just the hay? The thing is, he LOVES this hay. He's in it ALL the time, he won't stop eating it!

Could it be doing him any harm?

Thanks

Oh and he's an indoor bun!

Thanks that reassures me a bit! Glad to know hay can affect them like this. Mum said Ludo had hayfever which wasn't very helpful
