  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Snoopy is being a complete nightmare with Daisy at the moment and seems to be continually trying to hump her!!
He is 2 years old and was neutered at about 6 months of age. She is about 1 and is also neutered (again at about 6 months) poor girl is being harrassed constantly, when she is trying to eat, he humps her, when I am medicating her, he humps her.
It is all the time.

Is there anything that can help him? My other buns all seem to have the occasional hump but he is constant.

Sometimes adrenal gland disease can present in hypersexual behaviour in castrated Bucks

How is this diagnosed? Maybe I should take him to see my vet this week.

He has been doing it since being with Daisy (about 6 months now) but just seems to be getting worse and worse. She just hops off and never gets aggressive, but you can tell she gets annoyed with it.
He never used to do it with his previous partner (who died last december)

I have some documents about Adrenal Hyperplasia/Neoplasia in Rabbits but I cant post them on here. If you PM me an email address I could send them to you.
