I have an outdoor hutch and when cleaning it out today I noticed some flies were very interested in the litter tray area, this shocked me as I change their litter tray as soon as I can smell it usually every 2 days. I checked the buns and they're clean and dry but I just want to get rid of the flies!

Anyone know of any outdoor citronella or lemon type air freshener or something? Not sure how I would go about it - I'd have to find a way to hang it outside the hutch without little hoppers reaching it!...

Any suggestions very much welcome

I have fly screen netting over the mesh on my kennel run and I hang some cotton wool balls with a few drops of citronella oil in little organza bags hooked on the outside where there is no risk of any pets reaching them.
