Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Nuetering & bonding question

Young Bun
Im hoping to book Margo & Benjamin in for their little ops next week.
The plan is to bond them to my current 2 bonded buns who live in their nice big shed.
How long after a neuter op do I need to wait before introducing them to Charlie & Opal?

Also, after having the big boys, Jake & Elwood out yesterday, noticing their behaviour with the other rabbits, I *think* they might bond well with Opal & Charlie....so Im hoping to get that sorted at some point.

I just wondered if there is anything I may not of thought about with bonding, Im planning to bond Jake & Elwood to Opal & Charlie, then at a later date try and bond the 2 singles Margo & Benjamin, to the *hopefully* bonded quad [Jake, Elwood, Opal & Charlie].

Thanks for any help :)

I'd wait at least 6 weeks. They'll recover quicker than that but its a good idea to give their hormones chance to settle. Also an operation can put alot of stress on their immune system and bonding is mega stressful so you don't want to overload them all at once.
