Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

The right weight?

Hi guys! Well, just weighed my rabbits: a Netherland Dwarf X Dutch (Zoe) and a Netherland Dwarf (Crystal). Crystal was 1.2KG, and Zoe was 1.9KG... is that the right weight for them? Should i keep feeding them this way? or feed more or less? and another question, Crystal had bad diarrheoa yesterday, but we cleaned her up, and mucked the hutch out and shes fine now. We think it was the change of hay as it was very green and sweet, and she also drunk loads when i fed her yesterday... how bad is diarrheoa for rabbits?

the weight sound ok, as long as they don;t look overweight i wouldn;t worry  some netherland dwarfs weigh under 1kg, but there are many ove rthat weight and 1.2kg like your nethie

Your vet will be able to tell you if they're the correct weight for their size. Without seeing them we can't say if they look over/underweight.

As far as diarrhoea is concerned it's extremely serious for rabbits and they need immediate vet care generally.

As RubyTed said, your vet will be able to confirm whether your bunny are the right weight for their size, as all bunnies differ. There are also some links which may be useful to help you decide:

With the diarrhoea, if it's very watery that can be a serious problem and I would advise a vet visit as soon as you can.

If the poo's more sticky looking than watery (it may look like a cow pat or a bunch of grapes), it more likely that a change in diet's upset the tummy. What else did she eat yesterday and has she been pooping normally since? Usually, I would say to increase the hay intake and consult the vet if that doesn't help, but if it's the hay that she's finding too rich, that might make the problem worse. Do you have any of the hay she was eating previously that you could give her?
