Noah's Mummy
Young Bun
We recently lost our bunny Noah to complications from E. Cuniculi, he suddenly became symptomatic and we found out all about the disease. Results from the vet say he was very much fighting an active infection.
We're already treating his ex-partner Poppy with Lapizole for 28 days on the vet's advice. The cages, carriers, bowls, trays, towels etc were all bleached and washed in very hot water after he died.
We've recently got a young bunny locally, 10 weeks old and he will be gradually bonded with Poppy and hopefully they'll live together once he's been neutered. At the moment the closest they get is 6 inches with bars of their cage between them (he's not bothered by her, she looks like she'll eat him!).
When should we treat him for EC? And how long for?
How often should we treat them both in the future?
