I was wondering how much i do actually spend after a thread on this recently. Also if anyone can help me in reducing costs- any ideas would be appreciated.

p13887Supreme Science Selective Rabbit 3kg £4.68 5£23.40
Subtotal:£23.40
Shipping cost:£3.99
Total:£27.39 trying to make this last a month
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Also bought £48.68 worth of puppy food from pets at home- lasts about a month
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hay costs me £6 a bale inc delivery and i get through about 2 bales a week -£48.00 month
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Megazorb- about 3 bags a week ( 12 total for the month) - around £7.00 -£84.00 total- get this from the local equestrian shop so no delivery)
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Veggies-
76p for savoy cabbages( approx weight 500grams) each =£22-£45.60 month
£1.50 for 300grams coriander - I buy this 1or 2 x weekly (£12.00 month)
£1.50 for 200 grams parsley- I buy this 1 or 2 x weekly ( £12.00 a month)
80p for cucumber each - I buy two a week, not much at all( £6.40 month)
76p for 2kg carrots - I buy around 3 bags weekly (£9.12 month)
97p for 335g broccoli I buy only 1 per week (£3.88 month)
I do use cauliflower leaves out of my own shopping and also i did get them at the market, but don't bother any more as i don't drive and town is alot further where i am now.
I don't give the buns much veggies anymore- i used to feed loads, but now the majority diet is hay. A couple of handfuls of science selective and i chop up a cabbage which is 500grams, sometimes two, then i add corriander and parsley and a few carrots, abit of brocoli (not much at all) and then toss it together with the science selective pellets and serve. I used to measure on scales the veg, but now i just make sure they get a good portion each daily.
I spend about £89.00 a month on veg- not much as i thought. I occasionally buy extra things though if i run out- so can come up to about £100.00 - I go easy on the veggies as i feed a reasonable amount of pellets also.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
65p per paper -Daily express- newspaper for indoor buns- don't use this outside anymore just megazorb instead. Newspaper is for cage bases - although I'm finding it abit useless absorbency wise compared to other beddings. (£18.20 a month) I use one or sometimes two newspapers for the indoor bases daily.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Any thoughts on what i can do to reduce my current bill which is around £387.97 Min for basics .
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Then vet bills on top which are recently - an 8 day time frame bill of £197.06. Another two day period of £147.41 - another bill of £86.78 for a time period of 6 days. Two days £63.80 bill- 2 days- £118.65 bill- 3 days- £185.00 bill- ( Total of £798.70- unless i've missed some invoices out as these appear to be lacking. It's about £300.00 (ish)a month or there abouts for routine treatments i need for dentals etc.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Total monthly costs- £687.97 month min
Good grief- i've never taken the time to add up how much the animals are costing. I could buy myself a horse and be a lady of leisure or a foreign holiday every month with that. Oh well, back to bunny cleaning duties
