Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Young Bun
Hey guys.. So i was wondering.. I had a coming 2months old male bunny who is trying to hump my female rabbit.. Is it really2 humping or dominance?? Cause i see that the men thing isnt out yet..its weird..luckily he humped her on the face..oh and the female also the same age as his.. It was during her playtime..the female is new to him..need help and suggestions

I would suggest separating them at 8 weeks unless he has testicles, then separate now.

I would also suggest not letting them meet each other until after his neuter (if you can get rabbits neutered in Brunei?) and 6-8 weeks after that.

well thank you... usually i never close the cage door as i leave it open all the time... now have to close it afraid that they will hump each other... so sad :( .. i really want to get them neutered but as i told before.. its really hard to find vet here that can do that :S .. so my only choice is to keep them close in separate cages

EDIT: Oh and one more thing.. my country's weather is quite hot during the day and cozy at night.. is it okay if i only put them in airconditioned room in a day and switch the AC off at night.. (well to save the electricity) :) .. my rabbits are mixed angora, mixed lionhead and pure woody toy.. i heard that placing them in cold room makes their fur thicker.. is that true? any suggestions..
