Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Rabbits going to bed damp

blackspots

Warren Scout
Evening all,
Two of my bunnies were free ranging this afternoon, and love to stay out despite the rain. However, I'm now inside all snug and warm inside and am worrying that they have gone to bed damp, particularly because it is so cold. Will they be OK? Their hutch is covered by a tarpaulin and secured with bricks.

I personaly would have dried them off before putting them to bed. But I dont have much experience with out door buns so can not really help.

Yes I think especially with the weather as it is at the moment I would have towel dried the buns before settling them for the night :)

Do they have constant access to their run? If so I wouldnt worry as its highly likely they will be sat out getting wet over night anyway. My lot regularly sit out in the rain and cold and are quite happy

Thankyou for your replies everyone. I did go back out and towel dry them off. Sorry for not replying sooner, my modem packed in. They do seem to love sitting out in the rain, did it again the day after!
