Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Fur and moulting

Hi

Was wondering if anyone else is having the same problem as me (well, my bunny). Stan is a standard rabbit and he is looking so scruffy. He is shedding his winter coat (still!) but appears to be struggling to shed it, so has loads of loose fur. His mate, Ollie, is no help  so we have been gently brushing Stand and pulling the loose fur out.

Has anyone else had the same problem and are there any solutions other than brushing and plucking?

Nope, you simply have to brush a heavily moulting bun daily if you can. Our male dutch bun moults continuously all year around and has about 3 moult lines going at once, he has done ever since we adopted him. Some buns just take time to moult and by the time they finish the next one has started. Happy brushing! :)

My Ginger Bun has always been a big moulter, having really thick fur for a dutch. Just brush him every day to try and prevent him injesting it.
