Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Hey all,

I've had my dwarf lop for a couple of months but the past week she is not going to the toliet really at all. When i let her out she is very moody (hasn't yet been spayed) but does seem alot worse than normal and is very tender on her stomach and when i touch her stomach she does finally wee and poo a little. Also noticed that she seems very warm! I wonder if anyone could give me any advice? She was away in bunny boarding two weeks ago and hasn't fully been right since but theres nothing i could pin this down too!

I'm booking her into the vets tomorrow but any help would be greatly appriciated!

It's very hard to say what is wrong, those symptoms could be many things. I think a vet trip first thing tomorrow would be a very good idea. Let us know how you get on. :)

ETA unless of course she deteriorates further in which case she would need to see a vet tonight.

Hey,

Have had chance to get on in a while but she's all ok, the vet gave her a couple of injections and she seemed to clear up a day or so after that, now she won't stop peeing and pooing!!
